Approved Stallions 2008

The  Approved Stallions Register is designed to include those stallions previously known as Hunter Sires and is for new stallions that do not have three generations of proven pedigree and/or cannot meet the performance requirements for a Graded Stallion.  The Hunter Sires were accepted on inspection coupled with their  own performance  and that of their progeny. 

The new stallions are assessed in exactly the same way as the Graded Stallions appropriate to their age.  They have all passed a stringent Veterinary examination and their owners are obliged to declare that they agree to abide by the Levy Board Codes of Practise for the  prevention of venereal diseases

The Progeny of the Approved Stallions are now eligible for registration in the Stud Book or on the Basic Identity Register  and for the Society's sales, provided that appropriate foaling returns have been received.

Service fees are at the discretion of the Stallion owner.  Service vouchers cannot be used for payment of service fees for mares visiting Approved Stallions.
