It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs Daphne Thorneycroft have told us of her passing following a long illness.
Daphne was an avid supporter of Sport Horse GB and, although not a prolific owner and breeder, she had a number of successes over many many years. Most recently, Tigbourne, owned and bred by her and produced by Ann Bassett has won both in hand and under saddle.
Daphne had a lifetime of competing, breeding and producing horses from all disciplines and will be sadly missed by all.
A funeral service will be held in Haslemere Catholic Church (GU27 1BS) at 2.30 on Wednesday 13 October and afterwards at Lythe Hill Hotel (GU27 3BQ).
