Skelwith Diamond Lord sparkles on the night

Seven young horses came forward for the inaugural Sculpture to Wear three-year-old performance horse class, held at Addington EC on the eve of the SHB(GB) National Hunter Supreme Championship show. Elizabeth Launders homebred Skelwith Diamond Lord (Kalaska de Semilly-Sir Shutterfly), bred at her stud in Powys ran out the overall winner receiving £500 from sponsor Rosemary Hetherington of Sculpture to Wear.


Skelwith Diamond Lord jumps ahead in the Sculpture to Wear Performance Horse Class (1st Class Images) 

The second placed filly Libris Royal Lady won her owner/breeder Rosie Dickens the £500 bonus awarded to the highest placed British-bred, bred by a member of SHB(GB). Rosie bred Betty, who is by the SHB(GB) graded stallion Langaller Starring Role, out of her former three-star event mare Royal Twist (of unknown breeding).


Rosie Dickens filly Libris Royal Lady presented by Tom Hanlon is the best British-bred, bred by a member of SHB(GB) (1st Class Images) 

All the horses were assessed on their conformation, movement and loose jumping by judges Tim Price and Michael O Callaghan from Ireland. Front picture Elizabeth Launder receives her prize from sponsor Rosemary Hetherington of Sculpture to Wear.
