Congratulations to all connections of Xavier Faer the highest placed SHB(GB) registered horse and the best British-bred horse in the end of year BE  top 100 horse rankings, in equal 6^th place.  

Xavier Faer, owned and bred by Trisha Rickards is by the SHB(GB) graded stallion Catherston Liberator out of the former advanced mare Faerie Dazzler by the SHB(GB) graded stallion Catherston Dazzler. Xavier Faer (pictured below at Burghley) was third at Badminton where he won the SHB(GB) prize for the ‘highest placed by an SHB(GB) stallion’ and was also the best British-bred, and finished the season in 18^th place at Burghley.

SHB(GB) has presented awards at all this year’s British international (CCI) three-day events. The awards, sponsored by Preci-Spark and BEDE Events, are presented to the owner of the highest placed horse registered with The Society. This year’s award winning horses are;

CCI1* – Yes I Can (Kannan-Slip Anchor xx) ridden by William Fox-Pitt and owned and bred by Marietta Fox-Pitt out of the thoroughbred mare Fairlead

CCI2* - Leonardo VIII (Maximillian Voltucky-out of Lady’s Legacy)ridden by Aaron Miller, owned and bred by Mrs Irene Broom.

CCIYR2* - Philanderer II (Jumbo- Mangan) ridden by Libby Seed. The stallion (pictured below) is owned and bred by Carolyn Bates of Grafham Stud.

Brand Hall

CCIJ* - Ngong Hills (Fleetwater Opposition-Reformed Character xx) ridden and owned by Harriet Wright. It is the fifth SHB(GB) award for the successful 12-year-old bred by Anne Furness of Thirsk and formerly ridden by Nicola Wilson.

CCIU253* - Triple Chance II (Langarth Triple-Joli Wasfi XX) ridden by Ashley Edmond and owned by Ashley and Mrs Bridget Heal. Triple Chance was bred by Mr and Mrs NJ Matthews of Woolastone Stud, Lydney out of the mare Joli Woppity
