All horses being shown in Ridden Qualifying Classes for the Royal International Horse Show, Horse of the Year Show or the National Hunter Supreme Championship Show are required to be entered on the Society's Basic Identity Record or Stud Book AND the annual Show Hunter Register.  Show Hunter Registration is renewable each year and is not restricted by way of breeding etc.  When registering a Show Hunter, owners and riders must be Full members of the Society.  The Secretaries of affiliated Shows send their entries to the Society for checking and any unregistered horse is not eligible to compete.

The Society now offers a temporary show hunter registration to competitors who wish to compete at ONE qualifying show for a fee of £10.  If the horse subsequently qualifies then they will need to complete their full registration before the championship and the £10 fee will be refunded.
