OVERSTAMPING

In support of the policy that all horses should only have one passport and
the law which came into effect on the 1st January 1998 making it an offence
for any horse born after that date to be in possession of more than one
passport, the Society has obtained the necessary permissions to overstamp
existing passports issued by other Societies and registration Authorities
who are recognised by DEFRA, subject to them including a markings chart
completed by a Veterinary Surgeon (both diagrams and written markings).
On receipt of your passport , completed form and fee, the horse will be
entered on the Basic Identity Record and the ID number will be stamped
 in the existing passport.
